The Hot Logic Mini ($50) is a handy device for preparing hot cereal overnight. This device is essentially an electric hot plate which slowly cooks food in a Pyrex container. The hot plate does not become too hot, so it's safe to place the device on a wooden desk, for example.
The final preparation is not as tasty as freshly prepared hot cereal described above. However, the convenience of having hot cereal in the morning, ready to be consumed in the Pyrex container itself, makes up for the loss in taste.
At night, I add the following things together in the Pyrex container: grains, chopped fruits, chopped nuts and seeds. Then I add some water and close the lid. Finally, I place the Pyrex container inside the Hot Logic Mini case and plug it in. By morning, hot cereal is ready! :) Sometimes, I add cold nut milk (almond milk or cashew milk or soy milk) to enhance the taste and to bring down the temperature for quick consumption.
