"Lower extremity peripheral arterial disease (PAD) affects approximately 10% of the American population", according to Peripheral Arterial Disease: Epidemiology, Natural History, Diagnosis and Treatment by Dhaliwal & Mukherjee, Int J Angiol., 2007 Summer; 16(2): 36-44.

On average, femoral arteries (arteries in legs) are much wider than arteries in penis, heart and brain. When they get clogged, blood supply to feet is impaired. This leads to Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) in the legs. PAD can occur in other body parts, for example, our hands. This article at heart.org has more details.

Plant-Based Diet Reverses Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction in Patients with Peripheral Arterial Disease by Peter Lin, Debra Leslie, Mary Levine, Garth Davis & Caldwell Esselstyn, Intl J of Disease Reversal and Prevention, Vol 2, No 1, 2020.
