Flaxseed Chutney (WFPB, Oil-Free)

Flaxseed is known by several different names in India: alsi, jawas, alashi, tishi, pesi, … A variety of flaxseed chutney recipe are found in different regions of India. Below are some recipes without ghee, oil, sugar or jaggery. Some are dry, some are wet.
(4 mins) Jawas Chutney

Ingredients:
½ cup flax seeds
4 cloves of garlic
1½ tsp red chili powder
1½ tsp cumin seeds
Salt for taste

(3 mins) Flaxseed & Niger Seeds Chutney from North Karnataka

A recipe with both flax seeds and niger seeds:

Ingredients:
Flax seeds ½ bowl
Niger seeds: 2 tsp
Salt: per taste
Turmaric powder: ¼ tsp
Green chilli paste: 1 tsp
Garlic: 12 to 15 slices
Ginger: 15 to 20 long slices
Raw peanuts: 1 small bowl

Ingredients:
200 gram flaxseed
12 garlic cloves
salt er taste
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp red chilli powder

Ingredients:
1 bowl flax seeds
1 bowl coriander leaves
1 small bowl mint leaves
4-5 garlic cloves

7-8 small green chilies

Ingredients:
1 cup flax seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
4-5 red chilies dried

Ingredients:

asafoetida: 1 pinch
sesame seeds: 2 tbsp

Recipe: English and Hindi
Ingredients:
½ cup flax seeds
½ cup curry leaves
4 dry red chillies
½ cup grated dry coconut
3-4 tbsp peanuts
2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp black salt [Please minimize salt! Try making salt-free]
½ tsp salt [Please minimize salt! Try making salt-free]
2-3 pinch asafoetida ('heeng')

1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
4-5 dry red chili
salt (to taste)

Ingredients:
Agasi/ flax seeds: 1 cup
Currey leaves
Garlic cloves: 10 to 15
Jeera: 1 tsp
Red chilli powder: 2 tsp
Hing (asfoetida)
Salt (to taste)
