Diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis (ovarian cysts, uterine cysts) at age 27; pretty aggressive; scheduled for hysterectomy (uterus removal) because she was high risk for endometrial cancer. Shocked! Incidentally, a vegetarian friend dragged her to a nutritionist. She switched to a strict Whole Food Plant-Based diet. After 5 weeks, Katherine showed up for her hysterectomy. The surgeon didn't go through the procedure? Why? Because most of her problems were actually gone! She didn't need a hysterectomy any more. After about 6 months, fibroids in breasts (seven of them) completely dissolved. Cholesterol dropped; blood pressure went down; lost 55 lbs. Complete mental acceptance for this "weird diet" didn't happen until the 6 months mark. After 6 months, she 'surrendered' to the new way of eating, after having witnessed so many positive changes in her body. Katherine has three children, raised Whole Food Plant-Based from childhood.

"At 24, Texas based Nurse Shaunna was living with extreme cramps during her period that were so severe she would be bent over on her hands and knees crying in her bedroom."
"Shaunna was prescribed pain medication because her symptoms became so severe she was experiencing vomiting and nausea, eventually she was advised the only option would be to place her in pseudo-menopause and have a hysterectomy."
"As a woman of only 24 I can only imagine what it must've been like to hear this…"
"During this time Shaunna became vegan for the animals. Not even 2 weeks into consuming a plant-based diet Shaunna began noticing huge benefits to her health including her symptoms of GERD had completely vanished."
"4 months later, Shaunna had zero symptoms of both Endometriosis and GERD and 2 years on she has had no further symptoms."
