Diabetes: How to tackle Diabetes? and Diabetes Nutrition Education Resources for Clinicians (PDF).
Food Guidelines: PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine) is headed by Dr Barnard. PCRM has developed guidelines for a Whole Food, Plant-Based Diet. The Power Plate shows the main components of our food plate. Power Plate Shopping List is a wonderful checklist of what to buy (but supplements like B12 are not mentioned)! Also see Infographics, FactSheets and Substitution Chart (what should we replace animal products, oils & butters by?) 21-Day Vegan Meal Plan — Great resource for those looking for recipes to get started.
Research paper from 2006: This paper was key for Dr Barnard's 2008 book on diabetes: A Low-Fat Vegan Diet Improves Glycemic Control and Cardiovascular Risk Factors in a Randomized Clinical Trial in Individuals With Type 2 Diabetes, Diabetes Care, Vol 29, No 8, pages 1777-1783, Aug 2006. In this study, Neal Barnard's plant based diet was shown to be superior to the diet recommended by the American Dietetic Association in alleviating type 2 diabetes (see Targeting Diabetes article).

Videos: Dr Barnard has given many diabetes-related talks. Below are some talks that I found both insightful and entertaining.
A wonderful summary of WFPB for diabetes! A commonly asked question, "do we consume potatoes, grains and fruits in WFPB for diabetes reversal?" Note how Dr Barnard mentions all of these explicitly in his video as health promoting foods. In fact, he says that sweet potatoes are even better. Here is a recipe from Dr Barnard's book on Reversing Diabetes: Scalloped Potatoes.
A funny, informative, 18-minute TEDx Fremont talk from 2012.
An informative, 45-minute talk from VegMed 2016.
