Center for Nutrition Studies by Dr Colin Campbell divides foods into 9 components: Whole Food Plant-Based Guide.

The term Whole Food Plant-Based was originally coined by Dr Colin Campbell in 1982. He later established T Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, a non-profit.

Dr Colin Campbell rose to prominence with the publication of the book The China Study in 2006. He was featured in the documentary Forks Over Knives (96 mins, 2011) which brought Whole Food Plant-Based guidelines into public consciousness.
