Yes! Blackstrap molasses may have "Added Sugars" listed on the FDA regulated nutritional label. Generally speaking we avoid Added Sugars in Whole Food Plant-Based guidelines. However, Dr Greger makes an exception for blackstrap molasses.

Are Blackstrap Molasses Healthy?

Minerals: Blackstrap molasses are unusually rich in iron! Only 1 Tbsp of Swanson Organic Blackstrap Molasses has 20% DV for iron (Nutritional labels use 18mg RDA for iron), so 20% is 3.6mg.

Dr Greger concludes that dates and blackstrap molasses are the only two healthiest sweeteners. Dr Greger's original video from 2009 is no longer available at Nutrition Facts. However, the page on Sweeteners mentions

Blackstrap molasses and date sugar may be the only two health-promoting caloric sweeteners. Other such sweeteners, such as honey and maple, agave, and brown rice syrups don’t appear to offer much nutritionally.
