Sugar: Honey and refined sugars of all sorts are avoided in WFPB. Only blackstrap molasses are one of the two healthiest sweeteners by Dr Greger. Syrups like maple syrup and agave syrup are sometimes used in WFPB recipes. Starches like arrowroot powder are also sometimes found in WFPB recipes. See Sugars & Sweeteners for details.
Salt: All WFPB doctors recommend low salt. Most of them encourage salt elimination altogether. Dr McDougall encourages us to consume low salt but not zero salt. See Salt & Sodium for details.
