Disclaimer
In this article, I have chosen one or two awesome videos by famous Whole Food Plant Based doctors. Collectively, these videos cover a large number of topics: general health, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, autoimmune conditions, gut microbiome, gastrointestinal conditions, cancer, cognitive health, bone health, and fasting.
Dr Caldwell Esselstyn
(14 mins, Heart Disease)

An eye opening talk! I encourage all of my friends to watch it. Dr Esselstyn begins as follows: "Coronary artery disease is a leading killer of women and men in the Western civilization. And yet the truth be known that it's nothing more than a toothless paper tiger that need never exist. And if it does exist, it need never ever progress. It is a food borne illness."

Dr Michael Greger
(54 mins, General Health)

An excellent talk by Dr Greger covering so many chronic conditions! I am a huge fan of Dr Michael Greger. He is super knowledgeable. And his passion & spirit is infectious! :) A small number of people may find his presentation style quirky… but hang on! You'll get used to it.

Dr Neal Barnard

Dr Neal Barnard is another awesome doctor who founded PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine) in 1985. For a longer presentation on diabetes, see Diabetes Reversal and Weight-loss with Neal Barnard, M.D. (75 mins, 2018).

Dr Joel Fuhrman

Dr Joel Fuhrman

Another good lecture by Dr Fuhrman covering obesity.

Dr John McDougall
(61 mins, Autoimmune Conditions)

Dr John McDougall is a luminary plant-based doctor who has treated patients for over 40 years now. He has written many books and given many lectures on many different topics. I chose the lecture on autoimmune conditions to highlight the leaky gut hypothesis and molecular mimicry, which are believed to underlie autoimmune conditions.

Dr Michael Klaper
(93 mins, Bone Health)

This lecture is an awesome summary of Whole Food Plant-Based approach to osteoporosis! Worth watching in its entirety. The audio quality leaves much to be desired. I had to carefully pay attention to understand what Dr Klaper was saying. The same lecture is available here and here as well.

Dr Neal Barnard
(59 mins, Women's Health)

Dr Neal Barnard founded PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine) in 1985. In 2020, he wrote a book Your Body in Balance (352 page), most of which covers womens' health. Since the publication of the book, he has appeared in numerous interviews and podcasts.

Dr Alan Goldhamer

Dr Goldhamer is the founder of True North Health Center in Santa Rosa, California almost 35 years ago. This center is unique — it's famous for conducting medically supervised fasts for seriously ill patients.

More Info: Fasting & Meal Timings.

Dr Dean Ornish
(17 mins, Heart Disease)

Dr Ornish did landmark studies from late 70s to 90s showing that atherosclerosis can be reversed through lifestyle changes alone! A landmark publication in Lancet, 1990, was crucial in building confidence that Whole Food Plant-Based guidelines are effective in tackling the #1 killer of men and women in the Western world. How did Dr Ornish get the idea that a vegetarian diet, some yoga and some meditation would lead to chronic disease reversal? He was influenced by Swami Satchidananda.

Prof T Colin Campbell

Dr Campbell's presentation starts at offset 8:00 in the video. Dr Campbell coined the term Whole Food Plant-Based in 1982. He is famous for being a principal investigator in the China Study that pointed at a connection between animal protein intake and cancer.
